Can Humans Ever Travel Faster Than Light?
The speed of light (about 300,000 km/s) is considered the ultimate speed limit in the universe according to Einstein's Theory of Relativity. While no object with mass has been observed traveling faster than light, scientists continue to explore theoretical ideas such as warp drives and wormholes that might one day make interstellar travel possible.
Traveling faster than light has fascinated scientists and science fiction fans for decades. According to current physics, as an object's speed approaches the speed of light, its mass effectively increases, requiring more and more energy to accelerate further. Reaching or exceeding the speed of light would require an infinite amount of energy, making it impossible with our present understanding of physics.
