Privacy information
What the forum collects and what other people can see.
Reading is public. Creating an account is optional and is only needed when you want to participate.
Effective 8 August 2026
Account information
When you create an account, the forum collects:
- Your email address, username and password-protected authentication account.
- Your name and profile image if you choose to provide them.
- Your account role, status and account timestamps.
Your email address, optional name, role and account status are not displayed on public discussion pages. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not available to forum administrators in readable form.
Information visible to everyone
Published topics and replies can be read without an account. Your username and profile image, if supplied, appear beside your published replies. Reply text and attached images or PDFs are also public.
Do not include private personal information in a username, reply or attachment. Check files for names, addresses and other metadata before uploading them.
How information is used
The forum uses this information to:
- Create and secure accounts, confirm email addresses and reset passwords.
- Publish and display discussions, replies and approved attachments.
- Allow members to manage their profiles and contributions.
- Review reports, enforce community guidelines and protect the forum from abuse.
- Diagnose failures and maintain the reliability and security of the service.
The forum does not provide member-to-member private messaging.
Service providers
The forum uses Netlify to host the website and Supabase for accounts, the database and private file storage. Authentication email is sent through the mail service configured for Supabase; the production plan uses Resend. These providers process the information needed to operate their part of the service and may keep security and delivery logs.
Uploads and moderation
Profile images and discussion attachments are stored in private storage and made available through time-limited links when an authorized page requests them. Files are checked against approved types and size limits, but you should upload only material that is safe, relevant and yours to share.
Members can report replies. Reports, any optional explanation and moderation actions are visible only to the reporting member where applicable and to administrators. An administrator may remove content or suspend an account under the community guidelines.
Cookies and service logs
The forum uses necessary authentication cookies to keep members signed in and to remember whether a member selected the “Remember me” option. The application does not currently add advertising or analytics cookies. Hosting and account providers may process technical information such as request times, browser details and IP addresses for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
Retention and account requests
Account and contribution information is kept while it is needed to operate and moderate the forum. A final retention schedule and the project owner’s public contact method must be approved before launch.
Until a self-service account-deletion feature is available, requests to correct profile information, close an account or ask about removal of personal information are handled by the forum administrator. During pre-launch testing, use the administrator contact details supplied with your invitation. The public contact method will be added here before launch.
Removing an account may require the administrator to preserve or separately moderate public contributions so that discussions and abuse records remain understandable. The administrator will explain the available action when responding to a request.
Your choices and responsibilities
- You may read the forum without creating an account.
- You may leave the optional name and profile image fields empty.
- You may edit or remove your own replies and remove your reply attachments.
- You may replace or remove your profile image from your profile page.
- You should report exposed private information promptly to an administrator.
Changes to this information
This page will be updated when the forum’s services, retention practices or approved contact details change. The effective date at the top will change when a material update is published.
Participation is also governed by the community guidelines.
